This photo story takes you to the Nurpur Fort in Kangra. The fort has a high platform of an ancient temple. The platform is profusely decorated with different types of traditional motifs. The panels on the platform walls showcase stories from the life of Krishna, rows of Kirtimukhas (the Faces of Glory), separate wrestling events for humans and animals, floral designs within geometrical spaces, and a camel caravan.
Many of the sculptures are already broken and defaced. No other part of the temple exists within the fort complex. If you like Indian temple art, you would like the ruins of the ancient temple dedicated to Krishna.
