Up to 40% discount on Himachal Pradesh hotels

Rains in the Himalayas compound the inherited risks, but hiking or walking in the mountain rains is a very pleasant experience too, because the mountains wear a new look. We have done this several times. We enjoyed sweet smell of wet earth and trees while walking through the forests and the hamlets. We witnessed clouds playing on the bare, green, and / or white crowns of the peaks.

A rainbow over Tibetan Colony, Bir in Kangra District, Himachal Pradesh

The verdant slopes, freshly bathed trees without any dust, and clouds embracing the roaring rivers make a beautiful landscape highlighting romance of the mountain with the elements. Capturing these intimate moments of the nature on a film and / or memory card is a challenge for photographers.

If you are lucky, a vibrant rainbow may surprise you while you are hiking, sightseeing, walking, etc in the Himalayas during monsoon.

In monsoon, not many people dare to travel to the mountain range due to extra challenges. Hefty travel discounts, therefore, “rain” during the rainy season. For example, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (H.P.T.D.C.) is offering up to 40% discount on the hotels across the state.

The low- to high-end hotel special offers however come with strings attached.

  • Discounts do not apply to dormitories.
  • Single occupancy discounts are lesser. So, why not travel in a group to enjoy more in less?

The offer is valid until September 13, 2013.  Pack your bags to enjoy the new look of the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh.
