In August 2011, the railway bridge spanning the Chakki Stream was washed away because of flash floods. This bridge was restored in the end of March 2012. This train journey itself a destination. You can enjoy views of theDhauladharRangeand theKangraValley. The train passes by Billing and Bir known for hang gliding and paragliding. The rail track stretching from Bajinath to Joginder Nagar is probably the steepest part of the railway line.
