I.R.C.T.C.’s ambitious plan to become OTA

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (I.R.C.T.C.) planned to diversify to operate as a full-fledged online travel agent (OTA). The ambitious plan will help the corporation offset declining revenues between 2009-10 and 2011-12. Currently the public sector company focuses on catering and e-ticketing products for the railways.
