Mountain Biking (MTB) Himalaya: the toughest bicycle race in India

Do you wish to explore the Himalaya?

Yes. But you don’t have enough money.

Don’t worry. You can still do it.

Today, we would talk about three businesses that offer an opportunity for volunteer travel in the Himalaya. You can exchange your leadership and management skills for the Himalayan experience. The most interesting thing is that neither charges a fee to join the volunteer program.

Connect with Himalaya (C.W.H.)

C.W.H. offers an opportunity to explore the Himalaya as a volunteer. You can work as a group tour escort for the company. The responsibilities of the escort include managing trip finances and interacting with its local partners offering different travel services. For your managerial skills, Connect would sponsor your travel in the mountain range. The trip calendar for 2013 is already on the website. You can browse through it, choose a trip and contact Connect for more information.

Mountain Biking (MTB) Himalaya 2013

You can volunteer for MTB Himalaya 2013, the premier bicycling challenge of India. The race, scheduled for September 27-October 3, 2013, takes place in Himachal Pradesh, India. MTB is looking for volunteers who can help in accommodation, nutrition, office and stage management, and other departments. MTB would provide accommodation, meals and some transport during the race days for all volunteers. Register now.

Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI)

YHAI hires volunteers to manage the adventure camps. The association is organizing national and state level trekking programs and adventure camps this summer also. You can join the programs as a camp leader. The camp leaders who meet the specific criteria may also get some perks, such as shoe allowance and second class sleeper rail fare. Apply online to volunteer as an adventure camp leader.
