Badrinath houses a small Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT) amid green mountains. The terminal was quite clean and dark during my visit on August 27 and 28, 2017. However, gender specific urinals did not have doors. Only three-four dingy shops were serving Indian stuff, including namkeens (savories), hot tea, biscuits, and dal roti. But there were no chocolates.
Shri Badrinath and Kedarnath Temple Samiti runs Yatri Vishram Grah (Tourist Rest House) within the terminal complex. But I had no chance to have a look at the accommodation. You can visit website of the Samiti http://www.badarikedar.org/BKTC/Accomodations-for-badarinath-yatra for booking.
The terminal complex has a bulk bus ticket booking counter.
In front of the main terminal, a display board on a separate mini structure with conical roofs presents legend of Badrinath in brief.
Let’s have a look at the terminal which is within easy walking distance of youth hostel.
