Embratur signs adventure tourism agreement with ABETA

rp_ABETAEmbratur.pngEmbratur, Tourism Board of Brazil, signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Association of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Corporations (ABETA) in September 2010. The agreement would help in promoting national adventure and ecotourism products and destinations in the global market. ABETA and the Board would participate in international travel events, publish marketing material, organize workshops and host familiarization trips for foreign tour operators and journalists.

The private and public partnership would give a boost to the adventure tourism in the country. Although the new alliance does not involve any cash transfer, it emphasizes on information exchange and effective use of promotional tools of Embratur.

ABETA, located in Brazil, and Embratur have been working together through Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Bureau since 2005 to promote adventure tourism. The new agreement would further this relationship.
