Green Hiker Campaign focused on the Himalaya

In June 2009, World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India launched Green Hiker Campaign for promoting responsible adventure tourism in the Himalaya. WWF introduced colorful bookmarks, coasters, posters and a green hiker pocket booklet “Green Hiking in the High Altitude Himalayas.”  The campaign offers following green hiking tips:

Trek in single file.

Pitch camp thirty (30) meters away from water bodies.

Do not burn plastics.

Do not feed animals…
