Thrillseeker: A New Adventure Trip Aggregator and Community

Barely one year old portal Thrillseeker Adventures is “built by thrillseekers for thrillseekers.”  The portal, a collective effort of Anton Oud and Hassan Wardani, mixes e- and i-commerce. The portal, set up in September 2013, (1) allows to connect with travelers of the same taste and (2) offers adventure trip inventory from different tour operators located across the world.

Adventure Tour Inventory and Booking System

The main inventory search focuses on four adventure activities: kitesurfing, snowboarding, stand up paddle, and surfing. The search results can be refined using, company and country names and activity levels. The focused portal quotes prices for the trips but not for all. Price comparison option is unavailable.

The new adventure tour booking system brings various players at one platform where travelers can browse multiple options. The Book button takes them to the trip providers’ website.

The website helps in booking adventure travel services, including accommodation and packaged tours. The team also creates custom adventures on request.

The friends’ section features profiles of adventure sports lovers.

The website in English also has a separate section on extreme sports gear.

Source of Content

The portal tries to collect best adventures from across the world. But company and trip rating systems are not defined online.

Adventure travel companies can register free and offer their products to the dedicated audience.

The website hires Thrillseeker Test Pilots for testing adventure sports gear and gathering information about adventure destinations.

Global Reach

Although the portal claims that the inventory has trips from across the world, search for Bhutan and Nepal delivered very limited options. I also searched the portal for the “Himalayas” in vain.

The website with professionally designed logo has contact points in two locations: Australia and USA.
