This paper reviewed different research approaches used for studying outdoor adventure tourism. The author concluded that the existing research focused exclusively on opinions of practitioners and scholars. In fact, the research should take into account perceptions and subjective experiences of individuals about adventure tourism. Importance should also be given to qualitative research methods.
