Basic Mountaineering Course in Middle Age: Exclusive Opportunity

We have a happy news for mountaineering enthusiasts who have reached middle age (45-60 years). They can join a basic mountaineering course (B.M.C.) that generally accepts applications from 16-45 age group.

Another happy news is that the enthusiasts can choose between short course and long course depending on their leisure time.

Both private and government institutes are organizing B.M.C. for mountaineers in middle age. The institutes are in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.

Nanda Devi Institute of Adventure Sports and Outdoor Education (N.D.I.A.S.O.E.)

N.D.I.A.S.O.E., a private institute, is organizing a 13-day B.M.C. for men and women of 35+ age group. The course starts on March 23, 2019 and costs ₹18,900 per participant (actual cost).

Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM)

NIM is conducting a 28-day B.M.C. for men and women of 20-55 age group. The course has up to 90 seats. This course (Special Course No 259) starts on September 13, 2019 and costs ₹14,000 per participant (subsidized cost).
