8 State Governments Offer Incentive for Adventure Activities

A number of state governments in India offers incentives to their employees for participating in adventure activities. The most common incentive is a (paid) special casual leave (S.C.L.) mainly for two activities: mountaineering and trekking. Special casual leave doubles as an incentive to promote an activity and welfare of the employees. An employee on special casual leave is entitled to salary.  However, state government incentive schemes have some variations as well. For instance, only one state offers the leave for skiing.
